Marketing and Communications Coordinator
ETIV do Brasil is looking for a dedicated intern to serve as our Marketing and Recruitment Coordinator in 2018. Our Marketing and Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for leading our overall marketing strategy as we promote our organization and our volunteer opportunities on a wide variety of social media sites and volunteer recruitment websites as well as on different internship and job boards. Our marketing coordinator will also be expected to continuously update our database, update our project postings and help us build partnerships with more universities so that we can recruit more volunteers and interns to support both our local community projects and our NGO administrative work.
Our Marketing Coordinator will also be responsible for training, supervising and supporting any other volunteers or interns that may get engaged in marketing, recruitment or social media work with the NGO. In addition, we are currently working to build a team of virtual interns that can promote and market our NGO at home and in their local schools, universities and communities. Thus, we would need the coordinator to help lead build and lead this team, while creating and distributing fliers, newsletters, articles and blogs about our NGO is also expected. Experience and support in video production for the NGO would also be excellent, although it is not a requirement for this position. Generally speaking, our Marketing coordinator will be expected to help us develop a sound strategy that will improve our exposure and our brand both locally and internationally, while helping us significantly improve our recruitment of new volunteers and interns. All of our Coordinator positions require the highest-level responsibility that we offer to volunteer or interns, and only those with a great deal of organization, initiative and leadership skills should apply for these positions.
Interns that are willing and able to dedicate at least 6 months to the project may apply for a grant with the NGO to have their volunteer contribution waved. This allows low income students to receive all the benefits of volunteering with our NGO (including life insurance, a tour of Itacaré, an induction to the NGO, training in your project, ongoing supervision and support and 24 hour emergency support) completely free of charge. However, all interns are responsible for covering their own food, travel and accommodations, although we do provide a volunteer house where volunteers and interns can choose to live at a very affordable price. Meanwhile, interns can also earn credit as a remote/virtual intern with us completely free of charge and will receive supervision, support and an excellent reference for quality work.
