Pricing and Packages

ETIV offers opportunities to volunteer (20 hrs/week) or intern (30 hrs/week within our organization). Like most leading NGO's around the world, we do ask for a financial contribution from our volunteers. This source of income is extremely important for our organization since we do not receive any kind of public funding.

Accommodation package: $750

Housing (a private room in a shared apartment)

*a USD 350 security deposit is also required but will be returned in full as long as all stipulations of the Volunteer Contract are met.

*Brazilians living in Brazil will automatically receive a discount of 50% on packages.

*Low-income volunteers and interns that can dedicate at least 4 months to the NGO can apply for a grant that will cover 50% of these costs.

ETIV does not provide health insurance. Although medical services can be found for free in the local public hospital, we highly recommend having international travel insurance to cover you at a better, private clinic in case of a more serious emergency.

How we spend your money

We are proud to have created a sustainable management system that allows us to spend over 67% of our funds directly on our projects. The remaining 33% covers staff salaries; volunteer related costs; grants we offer to low income, long-term volunteers; marketing strategies; and finances and re-investment in the organization. We take your volunteer contribution very seriously and we make sure it is responsibly used towards our projects and fundamental goals.

Marketing and Recruitment is one of the most important departments within ETIV do Brasil. Volunteers and Interns will be responsible for leading and running our overall marketing and recruitment strategies.

Girl’s Empowerment

ETIV do Brasil is looking for volunteers to support a project focused on literacy and empowerment for girls, known as LitClub.

Swimming Lessons and Drowning Prevention

ETIV do Brasil and SwimTayka have joined forces to teach the life skills of swimming and water stewardship to underprivileged children and youth living along Itacaré's rivers and ocean.

Environmental Education and Conservation Programs

Itacaré has been blessed with an unparalleled natural beauty thanks to the harmony of exotic Atlantic rainforest, secluded beaches, picturesque rivers, gorgeous waterfalls, mangroves and plenty of wildlife. Therefore, it is our duty to help protect this special ecosystem, even more so in times of global warming and climate change.

Language Classes

Our English program is one of the most important we have. Tourism is the main economic sector in Itacaré so by offering free classes to children and teenagers coming from mainly low-income neighborhoods, we significantly increase their chances of finding better work with higher salaries.
